The honest answers.
Everything people ask before they download, answered plainly.
Does it work for couples and shared households?
Yes, that’s the point of difference. Budget as a household in one shared pot, or keep personal pockets alongside a shared one. You and your partner each see You / Together gauges, tag spending as personal or shared, and settle up through a holding account, so there are fewer "who paid what" conversations and no one keeping score.
Is my financial data private?
Prsperous is private by design. There’s no bank login and nothing to import. You enter your take-home pay and balance, and the app does the rest. Your numbers stay yours; we don’t sell data or connect to your accounts to see your transactions.
Which platforms is it on?
iOS, Android, and web. It’s the same budget wherever you open it, so you can check your safe-to-spend on your phone and plan the month on a bigger screen.
Is it available in Finnish?
Yes. Prsperous is fully bilingual, English and Suomi, and you can switch languages any time.
Is this financial advice?
No. Prsperous gives you tools and clarity, not financial advice. It shows you your own money clearly and helps you build habits. It never promises returns or tells you what to invest in.
How is it different from a spreadsheet or a single-player budget app?
A spreadsheet shows the past; Prsperous shows what’s safe to spend now and projects the whole month ahead. And unlike single-player budget apps, it’s built for two from the start, with shared visibility, pooled or personal-and-shared modes, and settle up. It works just as well for a household as for one person.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No. Setup is two real numbers: your monthly take-home pay and current balance. No bank connection, no statements to upload. That’s also why it stays so private.
